Tom has played the first three events on the EuroPro Tour Schedule having competed at Frilford Heath, Burhill and Cumberwell Park.
After coming back from injury, it was always going to be a challenge for Tom to pick up where he left off at the end of the 2014 season after fracturing his spine.
After a slow start but some encouraging signs, Tom missed the cut at Frilford Heath and Burhill. In both events, he played well for one of the rounds shooting sub par at Frilford Heath and one of the best scores in the second round at Burhill. However he found it difficult to string two consistent rounds together.
The most recent event at Cumberwell Park showed signs of Tom, pre injury. Hitting 34 greens in the first two rounds and posting a 71, 66 (-5) for the first two days making the cut comfortably. He then went on to post another solid 71 in tougher, windier conditions to finish T31st.
As the season has progressed, Tom has built more and more confidence which has helped him trust the fact his injury has fully healed and swinging is well again. He will compete this week at Longhirst Hall up near Newcastle for the Dawson and Sanderson Classic (EuroPro Tour).
