On the 27th – 29th August, Tom played in the The PDC & World Snooker Open Championship at The Oxfordshire near Thame.
This was a EuroPro Tour event that has featured previously on the schedule and was the same tournament where Tom made his debut as a professional back in 2013. This event marked the one year anniversary of Tom relinquishing his amateur status.
The 1st round began with Tom encountering some trouble on the 1st and 9th holes with a double and triple bogey. Tom called upon his experience and fought back to shoot 74 (+2).
A frustrating 2nd day found Tom hitting most of the fairways and greens but struggling to hole a putt and a quick double bogey on his 11th hole meant Tom went on to shoot another 74 (+2) and failed to progress to in the final round.
There were a lot of positives to draw upon and good things are on the horizon with European Tour Q School fast approaching!
