Tom kick started the season back from nearly a year off from injury, playing in the EuroPro Tour Q School to gain his playing rights.
Having to start at the bottom and work his way through Stage 1 and Final Stage, Tom qualified comfortably at Caversham Heath (Stage 1) and worked his way to Frilford Heath (Final Stage) hoping to gain a solid category and gain full status.
With tough blustery/stormy conditions for the two days on both the Red and Blue courses at Frilford Heath and Tom still battling some back pain, he finished on a total of +6, coming T104th. Having finished inside the all important top 120, it means Tom now has a category 12 and should get into every event this year on the EuroPro Tour.
There were a lot of positives to draw from the last two weeks of qualification and although Tom isn’t quite yet back to 100% fitness, he continues to make the steps necessary to reach the winning form he was in at the end of 2014.
Onwards and upwards for the year ahead!
