It’s been an up and down start to the season for Tom. With 3 top 25 finishes and stroke average of 71.2, he’s looking for a strong finish to July with a week to now work on his swing before two more tournaments then a break in August.
Tom totally revamped his training from October last year to become stronger, fitter and more efficient in his golf swing. He’s looking forward to using his medical exemption on The Alps Tour this season and a big comeback.
Tom has had a very consistent run of tournaments, shooting under par in 10 of his last 15 tournament rounds. He now needs a strong end to the second half of the season in order to climb higher in the rankings.
After the first 5 tournaments have been played on The Alps Tour, Tom has had a mixed bag of results. However he has started to gain some momentum after making the last 2 consecutive cuts in Italy over the last 2 weeks.
Tom travelled to the US for warm weather training which began on 5th April and ended on the 23rd. He has been fortunate enough to play some amazing golf courses, getting him ready for the 2017 season ahead.
Due to Tom having an extended Medical exemption for 2017 on the Alps Tour, he will be playing a full schedule starting in Egypt at the end of March that will take him all over Europe. Here’s to an successful year ahead!
With the season drawing to a close and European Tour Q School on the horizon, Tom looks to finish strong with solid performances which will help him graduate to the next level of tournament golf.
Tom has played the first 3 events on the EuroPro schedule and is building momentum. After a slow start back from injury he is now on the OOM with sights set to be in the top 5 by the end of the season.
