As 2015 is left in the past, 2016 brings in a fresh start for Tom as he has been hampered with back problems over the last 7 months. After having numerous scans and injections along with seeking advice from a variety of different specialists it had become clear that Tom had fractured his L3 vertebra, causing significant discomfort.
With the most effective prescription being rest, Tom has had a frustrating few months away from golf giving his back time to heal and hopefully remain pain free for 2016. Thanks to a Full Medical Exemption on The Alps Tour, Tom can now simply pick up where he left off after a successful rookie season claiming his first major professional win, The 2014 Citadelle Trophy International in France.
With various options on the table, Tom will look to compete on The Alps Tour and attempt to qualify through EuroPro Tour school at the end of March. Although it will be a long road back from injury, Tom is determined to surpass the level he was playing at before he was injured with his sights still firmly set on full European Tour card.
Keep up to date with Tom’s playing schedule as it develops here.
